Mayor wants Rome to swim in the Tiber, but the pollution throws a spanner in the works

Ambitious plans in Rome: Mayor Roberto Galtieri has announced that the notorious river Tiber should be open to swimmers within five years. Inspired by the success of Paris, where the Seine was recently opened again, Galtieri has set up a working group to achieve this “completely feasible” goal.
