Maxime Meiland gets married, but Privé is not welcome: ‘Very bland!’

Maxime Meiland is going to marry her boyfriend Leroy Molkenboer today, but the gossip media are not welcome. “That’s a shame,” says Evert Sankrediets, the editor-in-chief of Privé.

Private boss Evert Sankrediets loves the Meilandjes. Last September he went to Martien’s birthday with his good friend Connie Witteman and that resulted in extremely embarrassing images. Unfortunately for Evert, the door remains closed this time: he is not welcome at Maxime Meiland’s wedding today, he says in the podcast Strictly Private.

Private not welcome

Evert wanted to report on the wedding, together with one of his photographers. “We won’t get to see much of it. I tried my best, but Maxime doesn’t want any photographers at her wedding. That’s a shame, because she’s undoubtedly a beautiful bride and she’s a handsome groom, so that always makes for nice pictures with those kids.”

Why does Maxime not want gossip media involved? “It is all saved, of course, for the docusoap that is being recorded. Chateau Meiland will start again and this marriage fits in with that and it is kept exclusively for that, although I understand that some images will be released on Sunday.”

‘Bit corny’

Jordi Versteegden, presenter of the podcast, thinks the Meilandjes is bland. “I think it’s a bit bland, because they never leave anything private, you can always see it and they also benefit from that, because that’s how they earn their money and then the showbiz press is not allowed to come on such an important day.”

Evert then: “Yes, but they have turned their private lives into their business, so I understand a bit that they keep it in their own hands, but it’s a shame for us. I would have loved to bring the wedding of the week, exclusively.”
