TV and podcast maker Maxim Hartman is one of a kind. He is funny, completely himself and does not mince his words. He is not always appreciated for the latter. His comments about women in particular are often misunderstood. “I was once at a festival with a lot of young people. Two very cheerful girls came up to me and said, “Hey, you’re that misogynist from TV, aren’t you?” I said, ‘Misogynist? What are you talking about?’ I say things a bit harshly, but I can’t remember ever hating a woman.”

Maxim doesn’t mind that he is often misunderstood. “It immediately creates a separation. Women who accuse me of misogyny or sexism are just stupid bitches. They don’t even deserve to follow me or come into contact with me.”

In the next two episodes of the podcast About Love, Debby Gerritsen will talk to Maxim Harman about relations between men and women, relationships and sex. “Men are in an identity crisis. In the past you could still be strong. Now it’s nice when you look good. But if you say stupid things, you still won’t get a hot chick. What can you still impress as a man? With your intelligence. With your verbal power. And with your empathy. All things that an average man doesn’t have.” Listen in!
