Max Verstappen wins sprint race at F1 Austrian Grand Prix



Max Verstappen from the Red Bull team won the sprint race in the 11th leg of the Formula 1 World Championship, the Austrian Grand Prix.


The sprint race, held on the 4.3 kilometer Red Bull Track in the city of Spielberg, was held over 23 laps.


The defending champion Verstappen won the sprint race with a time of 26 minutes 30.059 seconds. With this result, the Dutch pilot got the right to start tomorrow’s race in the “pole” position.


Ferrari’s Monaco driver Charles Leclerc was second, 1.675 seconds behind the leader, and his teammate, Spaniard Carlos Sainz, was third, 5,644 seconds behind Verstappen.


In addition, the top 8 drivers in the sprint race were given points from 1 to 8.


The race, which will be run over 71 laps in the Austrian Grand Prix, will start tomorrow at 16.00.
