Ferrari had filed a protest because, according to the Italian racing stable, the two drivers would not have returned to the track according to the rules after a tire change. Pérez and Verstappen would have crossed the solid yellow line when leaving the pit lane.
Motorsports association FIA sent out a message that a representative of Red Bull had to report to the race management. After an investigation, the FIA decided to reject Ferrari’s protest.
