Max Eberl could soon return to the Bundesliga after his voluntary retirement from Borussia Mönchengladbach at the beginning of the year. As sky citing his own information, the 48-year-old is said to be the new managing director of sports at RB Leipzig. However, the start date has yet to be determined, and a contract has not been signed.
While Eberl wants to start on December 1st at the earliest, the DFB Cup winner would like to involve Eberl earlier. However, there is a clear intention to work together between the “Red Bulls” and Gladbach’s long-standing success manager.
Eberl’s contract with Gladbach is suspended – same salary in Leipzig?
while the “Picture” previously wrote that those responsible for the “foals” want to collect a fee of at least 10 million euros for Eberl, the TV broadcaster assumes a different model. There should be a written agreement between Borussia and the former Bundesliga professional: Eberl has not claimed the annual salary of around 2.5 million euros to which he is entitled since his resignation until the official end of his contract and will waive it if he leaves his contract a severance payment, whereas Gladbach, as an employer, does not demand a transfer. The club would thus save up to 10 million euros if Eberl signs in Leipzig shortly. At RB, however, the manager receives a salary of the same amount.
