Maurizio Costanzo: everything about the Mediaset special

The announcement came directly from Mediaset. What has always been the professional home of the journalist and television presenter will host a special in which his long career will be retraced. The program will be broadcast on Canale 5 in the late evening. And, as explained, “it will give viewers who have never stopped showing esteem and affection for Costanzo unpublished footage and testimonies”.

This special will be hosted by an exceptional couple formed by Maria De Filippi and Fabio Fazio.

A celebratory show for those who have always loved him

The journalist, TV host, author, screenwriter and lyricist has passed away at the age of 84. For many years he was the author and host of one of the most important programs on our TV: the Maurizio Costanzo Show. Forty-two editions that have made it the longest-running talk show on Italian television.

More than a program, it was the media salon par excellence of the small screen. A place loved and feared by many personalities from entertainment, politics and culture. A stage that also launched many characters, from Enrico Brignano to Luciano De Crescenzo, from Platinette to Enzo Iacchetti. From Vittorio Sgarbi to a very young Valerio Mastandrea. It is no coincidence that the Roman host boasted of having discovered more stars than Galileo Galilei and he was right: artists, comedians and even art critics achieved fame thanks to him.

Will the Mediaset special be broadcast from the Parioli Theater in Rome?

The Maurizio Costanzo Show has historically been on the air since Parioli Theater in Rome, with very few exceptions. It goes without saying that the evening in memory of the host could also be broadcast from here.
