Maurice Trapp leaves VfL Osnabrück: Change to the reserves of Mainz 05

“Accept a new challenge”

VfL Osnabrück and central defender Maurice Trapp are now going their separate ways. As the third division club reported, the 30-year-old joins the reserves of 1. FSV Mainz 05, which plays in the Regionalliga Südwest. Trapp came to Lower Saxony from Chemnitzer FC in 2018 and played a total of 121 games for VfL.

“After four years, the decision matured in me to take on a new challenge again after contact with Mainz was established. I didn’t take the decision lightly, I had an eventful and successful time at VfL. At the same time, I’m happy to be able to start a new chapter in football in a new environment,” said Trapp.
