Maureen Koster wins Zandvoort Circuit Run, Ronald Schroër on the podium

Maureen Koster was the first to cross the finish line for the women during the Zandvoort Circuit Run. The Phanos athlete won the 12-kilometer running race in 40 minutes and 49 seconds. Ronald Schroër finished third in the men’s race on the new course.

Immediately after the start, Koster took off from the competition. The athlete then ran her own race, leaving Ineke van Koldam (41.52 minutes) and Jennifer Gulikers (42.32) well behind.

The men’s race was considerably more exciting. A leading group quickly formed there with big names such as Vercauteren, Choukoud, Schroër, Assorgia, Futselaar and Tesfu. From the start, Vercauteren set the pace and Schroër had to follow. Vercauteren crossed the finish line in 35.44 minutes, followed by Khalid Choukoud (35.45 minutes) and Ronald Schroër (35.53).
