Henk Krol would find it a good idea if Matthijs van Nieuwkerk became the new presenter of stars on the canvas. “Then I will look again,” says the former leader of the 50Plus political party.
Omroep Max-Baas Jan Slagter has had it all with Özcan Akyol. The TV-Bobo believes that his presenter of star on the canvas does not show enough repentance for his role in the Matthijs van Nieuwkerk scandal. The result? He takes that program away from him and now the rumors are that former DWDD star Matthijs is taking over.
Henk Enthusiastic
According to Bridget Maasland, it would be a bit ‘nasty’ if Matthijs accepts this job-you will get a very much ‘who last laughs’ feeling-but Henk Krol thinks it is fantastic.
Henk thinks Matthijs is really very suitable for this program. In the Story: “Yes. Matthijs deserves a second chance. He is a fascinating presenter, who always asks the questions that also bubble up with me. I like that, because I have that with almost no one else. If Matthijs will present stars on the canvas, I will look again.”
“That fits well”
Saskia & Serge, who are in the same prominent panel of the Story, also find it a tight plan. “Given the nature of the program, he seems to fit that well. We have experienced Matthijs, when we were a guest at De Wereld Draait Door, experienced as a very amable man. At stars on the canvas the guests are interviewed in a friendly way.”
According to them, Matthijs can ‘like no other’, but Dries Roelvink, on the other hand, is not enthusiastic. He says: “No. Matthijs shouldn’t do that! He just has to get his own talk show. Let him start with a clean slate. Matthijs deserves a second chance.”
