In addition, Cameron has already been associated with the Foo Fighters several times, most recently after the sudden exit from Josh Freese in May. Rumors circulated as early as 2023 that he could permanently push the band after the death of Taylor Hawkins. At that time he denied via Instagram: “Fyi, the rumors on the Internet are wrong. I didn’t start with the foos.”
At the tribute concert for Hawkins in Los Angeles, Cameron was still on stage with the band. It remains to be seen whether there will be closer cooperation. The Foo Fighters have not yet confirmed a new drummer for their upcoming shows.
