In SIVIBU in Buggenhout, an 80-year-old interim mathematics teacher teaches the first year of secondary school. It’s a shame, he says himself, but in the meantime Eric De Bie from Opwijk is having the time of his life. “I still enjoy it as much as I did when I retired 23 years ago, and the students like it just as much.” How has he seen education evolve over the years?
