Matchesfashion appoints new Chief Product and Technology Officer

British fashion retailer Matchesfashion Ltd. has appointed Andrea Trocino as Chief Product and Technology Officer. The appointment will further strengthen the leadership team around CEO Nick Beighton, who was appointed in July 2022.

In his new role, Trocino will be responsible for reinventing the Matches customer experience, “growing the audience through digital marketing, acquisition, retention and engagement.”

Trocino has over 20 years of senior product management and technical experience in the fashion e-commerce industry, having previously worked at online retailers Yoox and Asos. At Asos, he developed the first mobile website and native apps in 2011 and grew the user base from zero to 30 million users by 2021. In 2018 he was appointed Chief Product Officer and mobile sales went from zero to three billion euros in 10 years, accounting for 80 percent of sales.

“I’m delighted to welcome Andrea to the team and look forward to working together,” said CEO Nick Beighton. “Andrea is a fantastic addition to our leadership team and his experience building customer-centric digital retail is second to none.

In recent months, under Beighton’s leadership, Matches has already appointed John Mooney as creative director and Christopher Hart as director of technology and customer experience.
