Masterchef 14 started to get really serious with the new adventure of the Masterclass. The 18 aspiring chef owners seemed very excited. There was no shortage of hints of arrogance and some digs among the competitors. In particular between Simone G. and Alessia, two strong (and unpleasant) personalities all too sure of their culinary skills. The first outdoor test it took place in Mariano Lagunare. A splendid nature reserve where Chiara Pavan and the local fishermen judged the best and worst dishes of the brigades. The result was not at all obvious.

The first Mystery Box it is a riot of Italian ingredients. The judges challenge them to create a real nest that contains the most loved flavours. A test that Anton Ego would have liked Ratatouille, yet the competitors did not follow the instructions to the letter. There were few dishes executed to perfection. The best were those of Franco, Laura (VOTE 6) and Claudio (VOTE 7).
And It is Claudio who wins the race and the golden pin. His fried pasta nest with cherry tomatoes and sausage conquers everyone. THE’underdog of season 14, the most underrated of the group, he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing ready to give everyone a hard time. The Invention Test is a real walk in the woods.
Participants cooked a partridge using herbs and aromatic ingredients to give an effect of uncontaminated nature. Claudio is forced by the judges, against his will, to tearing apart his colleagues. He must choose two pairs of competitors who, after exchanging positions, finish each other’s dishes. Samuele (RATE 6), Reza (RATE 5), Jack (RATE 7) and Giulio are the unluckiest.
Although the dish was well executed, the insecure Claudio fears going to court and the golden pin is immediately playedreceiving the blame from colleagues. The winner is Simone G.IThe Piedmontese entrepreneur’s woodsy dish is absolutely the best.

Masterchef 14, the report cards: Simone B. the first eliminated
The 3 worst are Reza (RATE 5), who cooked the partridge wrong. Laura (VOTE 6) It’s not convincing though the combination of ingredients. The farmer Simone B. (VOTE 4) is the one in most difficulty because he was unable to finish his plate, leaving sauces and garnishes in place. The judges they taste and they send away Simone B.
For Cannavacciuolo the execution was good but he mismanaged the culinary timing. The group of future chefs is ready for its first external event. Waiting for them in Marano Lagunare (Friuli Venezia Giulia) is the talented Chiara Pavan.

As winner of the invention test, Simone G. (VOTE 5) has the right to choose both the menu to offer to hungry fishermen, be his brigade. After putting on the red apron, he elects Mary (VOTE 5) as leader of the Blue brigade because he judges her not to be feared. The nervousness between them is evident. Franco (VOTE 6) is the penultimate competitor waiting to be chosen.
The last one left is Alessia (VOTE 4). Nobody wants her because she is not very cooperative and too controversial. Giorgio Locatelli is magnanimous and offers her the opportunity to decide which team to join. There is a lot of confusion between the two teams so much so Chef Pavan has to intervene a few minutes to replace the brigade leaders.
To shine for the ability to handle pressure it is Anna (RATE 6) while Gianni (RATE 5) is not very lucid. Gaetano (ND) and Katia (ND) too transparent. Martina, despite his macabre lucky charm, the skull of his rabbit Armando, it never gets noticed.
Things aren’t going well. From the red team’s menu they liked the boretto while the grilled mullet was almost raw. Even the blue brigade’s proposals do not receive unanimous approval. The Go risotto it is almost too al dente but the eel is considered very tasty.

The Blue brigade overwhelms the red team: 22 points to 3. For Simone it should be a lesson in humility but there is still a long way to go. Reza is the most controversial: for himthe team lost because Simone was not a leader, so full of doubts and no real plan.
The pressure test is a real meatball quiz. Those who, tasting meatballs from all over the world, manage to guess the ingredients are saved. Linda (ND) chooses the Japanese and saves herself. Playing cunning, Reza, Samuele (ND), Jack and Ilaria (ND) also go up to the balcony. Poor Claudio lamb returns and goes to challenge Giulio (VOTE 7) and the imperishable Simone.

The 3 challengers have only 30 minutes to cook amazing steamed meatballs. Claudio uses creamed cod, Giulio chooses chicken meatballs. For Bruno Barbieri they seem suitable for a retirement home. Simon fries them acceptably and he saves himself. Alessia is stunned, his face shows much, much dissatisfaction with his arch-enemy’s victory.
Leaving the Masterchef kitchen is the friendly Giuliothe Pisan lifeguard always full of kindness and smiles. Reza and Anna burst into uncontrollable tears. The 3 judges of Masterchef 14 they say they are not happy the performance of their competitors. The appointment for next Thursday 2 January on Sky Uno from 9.15pm and streaming on NOW, promises even more sparks.
