The stops were completely blown in the match between Aalsmeer and Visé in Belgium. Handball players from both teams clashed during the game. The match in Sporthal De Bloemhof was not finished after that.

After just over twenty minutes of play, it escalated completely at 6-9. Aalsmeer’s Rob Jansen put the ball towards goal after the referee’s whistle signal and struck the Visé keeper in full face.

A fight on the field immediately followed, with the images showing that Visé’s Yves Vancosen even handed out a headbutt. The two teams then dealt punches at each other. It is unknown if any players were injured.

After the situation had cooled down again, the referee decided to stop the game. It is not yet known when the remainder will be played out and whether the handball association will intervene.
