Massimo Lopez in front of the firing squad: the Sip commercial is back on air
Seeing him again on TV was one real surprise. It happened Sunday 22 Februaryon various channels, arousing wonder and disbelief among viewers who still remember it well.
No changes to adapt it to today’s times, the commercial aired in its original version dated 1993. At the moment, the reasons for the broadcast have not yet been revealed, even if the initiative seems to be a stunt by Tim on the occasion of the Sanremo Festival. The Company, in fact, is the owner of the Sip brand, as underlined with a hemlock superimposition. We will certainly know something more soon, probably as early as Tuesday 24 February, coinciding with the first evening of the event.

Why is a 1993 commercial back on TV?
What is certain is that the broadcast gave rise to a lot of curiosity, as expected. Perhaps, behind it, there could be an invitation to participate in the Festival, making it a topic of discussion, or the commercial with Lopez could be a precursor a return of the actor as an advertising face of the brand. Hypotheses, nothing has yet been confirmed.
A small advertising masterpiece
The commercial starring Massimo Lopez marked a period in which many advertisements were true masterpieces. The actor, in the desert waiting to be shot, asks to make one last phone call, which is granted. From there, a very long conversation that lasted until late at night, so much so that in the end, the disconsolate military members were forced to postpone or, who knows, cancel the execution. A success, conceived by the agency Armando Testa and directed by Alessandro D’Alatri which became a real national catchphrase, like “You love me, but how much do you love me?” from a few years earlier, where Gigi Proietti he was the disconsolate father of a very young girl Yvonne Sciò, always on the phone with her boyfriend.
