Hooded buses with Cottbus fans attack

After an away game in Saarbrücken, a bus with fans of Energie Cottbus in Hesse was attacked. Several people were injured.

A stopover on the way home for fans of Energie Cottbus ended in violence: After the away game in Saarbrücken, her bus was attacked in a parking lot in Hesse. Several people were injured.

As the Osthessen police department announced on Monday, the incident occurred on Saturday evening in the “Nadelöhr” parking lot on the A4 near Bad Hersfeld. The bus, which was on the return trip with around 50 inmates – including women and children – had kept around 9 p.m.

Shortly afterwards, vehicles with several people who were “apparently supporters of another football club” were “apparently supporters of another football club”. The Cottbus fans suddenly attacked them and also stole fan utensils worth around 500 euros. Then the attackers fled.

According to the association, it was about 30 people, some of which were hooded, who wore black and yellow fan articles. Witnesses stated to the police that the perpetrators were said to have had Dynamo Dresden emblems with themselves.

According to the police, nine people between the ages of 21 and 53 were injured from the districts of Spree-Neiße, Cottbus and Elbe-Elster. Two people had to be taken to the hospital. The association even spoke of “more than ten people” who were injured and four people who had to be treated in clinics.
