A very expensive fast car from 1963 burned out in Bavel on Sunday afternoon. It is a Maserati 3500 GTI. According to a 112 correspondent, the car was worth 2.5 tons.
The fire brigade was quickly present, but could not prevent the oldtimer from being lost.
Because fuel flowed from the gas tank, the flames were difficult to extinguish. The Dorstseweg was closed to traffic for a while due to the car fire. The burned-out car wreck has been towed away by a salvage company.
Other Maserati 3500 GTIs built in the 1960s are for sale for more than 200,000 euros, NOS reports.
For example, on the Dutch sales site AutoScout24, such an old-timer, built in 1966, is for sale for 229,000 euros. Prices for these models also start well above two tons on the German platform Classic Trader.
