The government is completely trapped because the VNO-NCW business organization supports the trade unions in their opposition to AOW measures. Even when it comes to cuts in unemployment benefits and WIA, employers go a long way with the trade union movement. The hoped-for savings of 6.5 billion euros on social security must be ‘outside the brackets’ for the time being.
