Kaye often based his concert prints through the designs that artists or bands had on their album cover. So sometimes you see the same fonts, figures or colors that were used. For ED, the posters are not just pictures on a sheet of paper: “They are not only announcements of concerts, the records are really memories.”
The current designs
Nowadays it is a different cake with the pop temple. The posters have become much less important through the internet: “In the past that did not exist and I tapped my friends when I saw a nice concert hanging on a pole in the city.” Yet there are still a poster on the facade of Paradiso. Those prints are also no longer made by one permanent person and are no longer stuck.
“It is a more modern time, but it is important to pay attention to it,” says Ed. “I would say: go cut, go screen printing, stick the city full and tell the story. Be inspired by Martin.”
