Martijn Krabbé makes himself quite known in front of the camera of De Telegraaf. When reporter Jordi Versteegden starts asking relevant questions about The Voice of Holland, he reacts with great pity.
For some program about balloons, Martijn Krabbé and Chantal Janzen return to television as a presentation duo for the first time since the abuse riot around The Voice of Holland. Yesterday they gave a small press presentation about that new show and of course they received questions about The Voice from all the media.
Martijn irritated
When it’s the turn of Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden, Martijn’s mood changes completely. While Chantal just neatly answers the questions, Martijn is very irritated. Pretty unprofessional.
Jordi: “Finally: this is your first program together since The Voice. Was it nice to be able to do another program together and leave all that hectic behind for a while?”
Martijn: “No, but now it’s as if you never see each other or something, like: gosh, oh, I’m glad to meet you again!”
Question about Anouk
Chantal then answers normally. She has been claiming lately that all those involved with The Voice are kept so well informed about the ongoing investigation. Jury member Anouk, however, claims very differently; it complains about the lack of transparency.
Jordi therefore poses a relevant question about this: “I heard about Anouk in the media… Anouk says: ‘We are not told very much either.’”
Then Martijn reacts heavily irritated, while Chantal stands silently: “I’m not going to respond to that.”
PR woman intervenes
Martijn comes out as a huge drama queen and even has a PR woman from RTL intervene. He taps Jordi on the shoulders because this is not the intention after all. Why Jordi can’t just ask the questions he wants is beyond comprehension. After all, the media are not only there to promote an RTL balloon show.
Jordi: “May I ask one final question? My job is to ask questions.”
Martijn: “Yes, no, I understand that, but I don’t know anything about it.”
Relevant question
Telegraaf colleague Wilson Boldewijn: “Hahaha. That RTL press officer just wants you to talk about those balloons.”
Jordi: “That’s what she said: ‘We’re here for Blow Up.’ ‘You have the advertising department of De Telegraaf on the fourth floor’, I always say. “You can go there for an advertisement.” I think I should be able to ask everything and I also think it’s a relevant question, because they are just back together in the studio for the first time.”
Not involved
Jordi is surprised that Martijn keeps so quiet about the Voice scandal. “It’s a pattern, because from the start Martijn has always been very superficial. He tweeted once that it is terrible for the victims and then it was done.”
“Chantal has actually always responded. Perhaps because she is a woman and feels more involved with those victims,” he concludes.
Juice queen Yvonne Coldeweijer supports Jordi: “Chant remains a professional even though it is very irritating to get questions about it again, but Martin gets black in front of his eyes ? Pissss. Jordi goes for the sensation. Nice Jordiii.”
