André Hazes Jr. brought his band into trouble last year by pausing his career so abruptly. The musicians in question, who perform as the Micky Fisser Band, now work together with Mart Hoogkamer and both parties like that. But what if André returns to the spotlights? Does Mart have to hand in his band again?

Mart and his band

Mart would like to keep that bond. “The Micky Fisser Band consists of seven members. They make great music and it’s a joy to perform with them. I can’t play a note myself, but when they start the music, I immediately know where I am and have to start,” he explains in The Telegraph

They are also just nice guys, says Mart. “We all have the same sense of humour, the click is huge. Micky is one of the best Dutch drummers. I am proud that he will accompany me (during his new theater tour, ed.).”

What if André returns?

But what if André returns? “I’ve had a taste of playing with them and just want to do more with them. They were also so good in Ahoy, when I performed there twice. Anyway, it’s hard to say it’s my band now. They also play for other artists.”

He concludes: “We have not yet discussed how Micky will be when André starts again. What I do know is that we have a lot of fun together now.”
