Update in Finland

Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Finnish Veikkausliiga. In the course of this, center forward Agon Sadiku (19) emerged as one of the winners. The offensive talent improved from 100,000 to 400,000 euros, which corresponds to a market value increase of 300 percent for the Finnish U21 international. Sadiku, who is under contract with FC Honka, became the surprise of the season, scoring eight goals in 14 games in the league.

Central defenders Miro Tenho (27/HJK Helsinki) and Paulo Ricardo (28/KuPS, each from 450,000 to 600,000 euros) were equally successful. On the other hand, things went less well for Perparim Hetemaj (35/HJK Helsinki) and Wilfried Kanon (29/Helsinki IFK). Midfielder Hetemaj fell by 250,000 to 350,000 euros (-41.7 percent) due to age and his move from Reggina 1914 to a weaker league, while central defender Kanon even dropped from 600,000 to 300,000 euros (-50 percent). This is due to poor performance and the capital club’s last place in the table.

Meanwhile, midfielder Nassim Boujellab, who was loaned out to HJK Helsinki by FC Schalke 04, had to make do with a devaluation from EUR 400,000 to EUR 350,000 (-12.5 percent). The 23-year-old has made 16 appearances in all competitions in Finland (one goal, no assist, five yellow cards).

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work

The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
