Schwolow and Gyamfi unchanged

Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Scottish Premiership and made some devaluations, especially for series champions Celtic Glasgow. Across the league, ten players receive a loss in the millions, seven of whom are under contract with The Bhoys – including former Augsburg player Arne Engels. Overall, the squad value falls by almost 4.5 million to 132.7 million euros.
The 22-year-old Belgian, who moved from FCA to Celtic for €13 million last year, drops from his peak value of €12 million to €10 million. This makes Engels, who has not been nominated for the Belgian national team since November 2024, one of the biggest losers in the update. Nasser Djiga (8 million euros) from Glasgow Rangers and his new teammate Mikey Moore are also down by 2 million euros.
Moore was loaned to Rangers from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer after there were rumors of a move to Borussia Dortmund. The fact that the 18-year-old top talent is supposed to take the detour via the Scottish league and was only in the starting line-up in around half of the games there results in a devaluation to 16 million euros. This means the winger remains the most valuable professional in the Scottish Premiership.
The only two German professionals in the league remain without a change in market value. Alexander Schwolow, regular keeper at league leaders Heart of Midlothian since September, is still at 500,000 euros. And Emmanuel Gyamfi, who moved from Schalke 04 to Aberdeen FC in the summer, is still valued at 200,000 euros.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
