Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Saudi Professional League. From now on, after all updates in Saudi Arabia, the most valuable professional is Talisca. The 28-year-old Brazilian, previously active for Besiktas Istanbul and Benfica Lisbon, improved from 11.5 to 13 million euros at Al-Nassr Riyadh. Since arriving in July 2021, the offensive man has scored 22 times in 33 games.
Left winger Michael is also among the winners of the update. The 26-year-old – like Talisca a Brazilian and himself under contract with Al-Hilal Saudi FC – also recorded an increase of EUR 1.5 million and will be listed in the TM database with a market value of EUR 8.5 million in the future. Michael, who joined from Flamengo for €7.6m just six months ago, contributed three goals and four assists in 19 matches.
Meanwhile, Al Ahlis Ezgjan Alioski (30; from 6.5 to 7.5 million euros) and Al-Shababs Carlos Júnior (26; from 4 to 5 million euros) also managed to grow in the millions. It went in the opposite direction for Vincent Aboubakar (30) and Jonathan Rodríguez (28, both Al-Nassr), who each lost €2 million of their current value. Former Mainz striker Robin Quaison, who netted seven times in 22 games for Al-Ettifaq, was devalued by €1.5m and now stands at €6m.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
