Market values Latvia: Minus for Bretschneider – Babec remains ahead despite devaluation

Update Virsliga

In the market value update of the Latvian Virsliga, the red pen is given to German legionnaire Niko Bretschneider (24). For the left-back from FK Auda, his previous career high of 225,000 euros has fallen slightly to his previous valuation of 200,000 euros.

The two biggest winners of the update are Anthony Contreras (23) from cup winners FC Riga and Adam Markhiyev (21) from champions RFS, who each increased by 325,000 euros. With now 700,000 euros and 600,000 euros respectively, both have moved into the top ten of the most valuable players in the Latvian upper house. Rigas Hrvoje Babec (24) remains the highest-rated footballer in the league despite a loss of 200,000 euros. With 1.8 million euros, the defensive midfielder clearly stands out from the competition, the first pursuers are RFS’ Emerson Deocleciano (24) and Babec’s teammate and ex-Cologne player Milos Jojic (31; -200,000 euros) with one million euros each.

This is how transfer market market values work

The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
