Update Premier League
After the championship of FC Astana, the biggest winner in the market value update in the Kazakh Premier League comes from the ranks of the champion. Pedro Eugénio, who was crowned top scorer with 18 goals in 25 games, rose by 300,000 euros to 900,000 euros and thus reached a new career high despite his advanced age of 32 for a footballer.
The Portuguese attacker is now the fourth most valuable player in the Central Asian country thanks to his upgrade. Only his two teammates Kamo Hovhannisyan (30) and Maks Ebong (23), who remain unchanged at one and 1.2 million euros respectively, and center forward Igor Sergeev (29) from Tobol Kostanay, who, despite a minus of EUR 300,000 to EUR 1.4 million at the top. In a league-wide comparison, only Tobol’s Miljan Vukadinovic (29), whose market value has halved to 500,000 euros, has gone down even more.
The most valuable team in the Premier League is now Astana again, which has recorded a slight decline in market values (-5.2 percent to EUR 10.4 million), but is the only team to remain above the EUR 10 million mark ( to statistics). Last year’s champion Tobol Kostanay, on the other hand, fell by 17.5 percent to EUR 9.05 million. Overall, the total value of the league continues to fall from €87.5m before the update to €82.8m now, continuing the trend of recent years as the level of the Kazakh Premier League continues to decline.
