Market values Faroe Islands: Viljormur Davidsen at the top despite minus

Update before the start of the season

For the first time in over a year, Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Faroe Islands’ first division, Betri-deildin, where the new season starts at the weekend. The most valuable player is HB Tórshavn’s Viljormur Davidsen, despite falling from 25,000 to 325,000 euros – only two footballers with Faroese nationality are valued higher. Behind the left-back are Patrick Da Silva (-100 to 300 thousand euros) from champion KÍ Klaksvík and Isak Jönsson (remains at 225 thousand euros) from B36 Tórshavn on the other places.

The biggest winner with a plus of 100,000 euros is goalkeeper Mattias Lamhauge. The 23-year-old from B36 Tórshavn has increased its market value by 400 percent and now stands at 125,000 euros. The most valuable team remains the reigning title holder KÍ Klaksvík with a squad value of EUR 2.18 million (+2.4 percent) ahead of HB Tórshavn with EUR 1.99 million (+8.2 percent).

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work

The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.

The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
