In the Chance League market value update, 200 players received a new rating. Slavia Prague has the highest squad value at 102.4 million euros and is the undisputed leader with a 20 million euro lead over Sparta Prague. Meanwhile, Sparta is the biggest winner.
Sparta’s homegrown Patrik Vydra can increase his market value by 3 million to 7 million euros – an increase of 75 percent. This puts him in the top 10 of the most valuable professionals. The defensive midfielder has contributed nine goals in 33 appearances. The Czech Republic U21 international is currently suffering from an ankle injury.
Slavia Prague’s Stepan Chaloupek takes second place among the biggest winners with an increase from €2 million to €8 million. The new market value also means the shared second place of the most valuable players with Michal Sadílek (Slavia) and Lukas Provod (Slavia). The most valuable professional in the Chance League remains David Moses, who is also under contract with Slavia. The Nigerian international confirmed his worth of €9 million.
Slavia’s Mubarak Suleiman completes the top three professionals with the biggest plus. He was able to improve his old market value of 100,000 euros by 1,700 percent – his new one is 1.8 million euros. The 18-year-old midfielder was only called up to the first team from the U20 in the winter and made an immediate impact. The Nigerian talent has two goals in five games. There are 26 footballers from Nigeria under contract in the Czech Republic’s first league. Only neighboring Slovakia has more foreign players, with 47 professionals.
While seven of the nine most valuable professionals come from Slavia Prague, the club also has the four biggest losers. Igoh Ogbu receives the largest devaluation with 1.5 million to 7 million euros – Muhammed Cham (4 million), Tomas Vlcek (4.5 million) and Oscar (7 million) follow with a loss of one million euros. This results in a devaluation of the squad value by 1.5 million to 102.4 million euros. SK Sigma Olomouc, on the other hand, made the biggest leap. The increase of almost 5 million to 29.9 million euros is due to the successful season and reaching the Conference League round of 16. There they had to admit defeat to 1. FSV Mainz 05.
Dennis Owusu, a German, is also active in the Chance League. The midfielder, who trained at Mainz 05, is under contract with second-to-last Banik Ostrau and receives a loss of 75,000 euros. His new valuation is 275,000 euros.
This is how transfer market market values work
The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but rather an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
