Transfermarkt.com.ar has completely revised the market values in Argentina after the end of the season, updating 765 players in the process. The biggest winner is Luca Langoni, the high-flyer from newly crowned champions CA Boca Juniors. The 19-year-old attacker made his professional debut in June due to many injuries and was given a starting market value of 300,000 euros in September. A month later, it’s up 1,900 percent – to 6 million euros.
“Langoni wasn’t even seeded in Boca’s youth team at the beginning of the year and suddenly had to play in the first division in the middle of the title fight. With his new value, Langoni immediately jumps into the top 20 in the league.
Overall, the squad value of the master increases by 6 million to 78.6 million euros. Boca are still just behind their eternal rivals CA River Plate, who lost almost €2m after third place in the league, but are still ahead with €90.5m and with Nicolás de la Cruz (€13m ) provides the most valuable professional in the league.
Another talent can be found in the top 3 in the league – only behind de la Cruz and Bocas Alan Varela (+1.5 to 10 million euros). Rosario Central’s Facundo Buonanotte has been described by Christensen as “probably the most promising player in the league”. “At the age of 17 he already has a great charisma and was not impressed by the great pressure after the poor performance of his team, which only came twentieth.” Thanks to the upgrade by 3 million to 9 million euros, the strong dribbler has established himself , attacking midfielder at the top of his team’s market value.
Alejo Véliz remains the only teammate on his heels.
