Mark Ronson pays tribute to Amy Winehouse on her 40th birthday

On Thursday (September 14), Mark Ronson shared a video on his Instagram account of himself listening to a snippet of Amy Winehouse’s hit “You Know I’m No Good.” In the caption to the post, Ronson, who was her friend and producer, expressed his respect. The singer, who died in 2011, would have celebrated her 40th birthday on Thursday.

“Happy Birthday Amy. Today my father turns 75. Nas turns 50 and Amy would have been 40. I think about how my dad and I would have celebrated Nas and Amy’s amazing shared birthday. We miss the Lioness so much, but let’s celebrate all the legends with some of her genius.”

Tickets are available here.

In honor of Amy Winehouse’s 40th birthday, there were other projects that summarize her life and show intimate excerpts. The band’s bassist Dale Davis took part as a musical consultant for the upcoming Amy biopic “Back to Black”. The book “In Her Words” was also published in August. This will contain never-before-seen diaries of the singer, handwritten song lyrics and family photos, giving an insight into the thoughts of Amy Winehouse.
