Mark Forster postpones his arena tour announced for 2023 by a whole year. “I’ll say it straight out and then explain a bit afterwards: I’m postponing the Arena Tour from 2023 to 2024,” wrote the singer on Instagram.
The reason lies neither in Corona nor in the pre-sale numbers, because these are good, wrote Forster. Rather, after an intensive concert year in 2022, he needs time for himself and other projects. “I love you guys out there. And I know about the privilege of experiencing these concert evenings with you. That’s why it’s so difficult for me to say it, but: The tour dates are coming too early for me.”
The arena tour has already been postponed several times, and at the same time he “played more concerts than ever before” in 2022. In order to be able to go on tour in February 2023, he and his band should have started preparing now. “But if I listen to myself, I need something else right now,” wrote Forster. “I want to work on new music with a little bit of time. Maybe realize one or two projects that I’ve been thinking about for a while. do stuff. Not really vacation but free stuff.”
Tickets already purchased should remain valid, but can also be returned. The stadium concert in Kaiserslautern, also announced for 2023, is to take place, as well as some open-air performances. Forster released his new single “Memories & Stories” in October 2022. His current album MUSKETIERE will be released in 2021.
