Mark Flek records important victory with SC Freiburg | 1Limburg

Goalkeeper Mark Fleks has booked an important victory with his club SC Freiburg in the battle for a Champions League ticket. Freiburg won 4-3 in the German Bundesliga on Saturday-evening against Hoffenheim.

Fleks, who comes from Bocholtz, was important to his team with a crucial save in stoppage time.

Defenders
Roland Sallai put Freiburg in the lead halfway through the first half. After more than half an hour, Flek saw Andrej Kramaric score after the Croat turned up free for him after a cross from the left (1-1). Fleks accused his defenders of not having joined.

alongside
Shortly after the break, Hoffenheim, who is in eighth place in the Bundesliga, took the lead via Angelo Stiller, but Freiburg came alongside almost immediately via Christian Günter. In three minutes Freiburg seemed to decide the game. In the 70th minute Lucas Höler scored the 2-3, after which Jeong Woo-yeong made it 2-4.

Matching goal
Five minutes before the end, Hoffenheim scored the connecting goal through Sebastian Rudy. Hoffenheim also seemed to end up at 4-4, but Flek performed a shine parade by turning the ball in front of the goal line with a feline reaction. As a result, Freiburg took the win and is currently fourth. On Monday, competitor RB Leipzig will play the away match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Champions League
Fleks and Freiburg compete for a place among the best four in Germany. Those places give the right to a direct ticket for the group stage of the Champions League next season.
