Marita Kramer was at the top of the ski jumping season three years ago. In the meantime, she is no longer part of the top of the world. That also has follows.

Her name was missing in the new line -up of the national team – and that excited: Marita Kramer, once dominating ski jumper in the World Cup, was downgraded by the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV). From now on, the former overall winner no longer belongs to the national team.

As every year, the ÖSV released its squadlists in spring. These reflect the achievements of last season. Overall, different criteria apply depending on the sport. In ski jumping, the national team status in addition to constant top performance is particularly crucial to place the World Cup.

In the 2021/22 season, Kramer had dominated the women’s ski jumping and won the overall World Cup. After that, the 23-year-old went downhill for sports. Last season she even had to stop her winter prematurely – she put a belt rose out of action. The result: In the new list of squads, she is no longer listed in the national team, but was downgraded to the A squad.
