The Finnish textile provider Marimekko Corporation will have to make do without Chief Business Development Officer Riika Wikberg in the future.
Wikberg, who belongs to the group’s management team, will lay down her post and leave the company on June 10th to turn to an entrepreneurial activity, Marimekko said on Tuesday. The search for possible successor candidate: inside has already been taken.
Wikberg has been working for Marimekko since 2017. Previously, she had dressed various positions in the area of corporate development at Fiskar’s Fiskar Corporation and Outotec and worked for the International Management Consulting Boston Consulting Group.
Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko, the CEO and President of the textile group, paid tribute to the outgoing manager. “I would like to thank Riika warmly at Marimekko for her years,” she said in a statement. “Riika has played an important role in the long -term development of the business and sustainability work of Marimekko. I wish her all the best for her new undertakings. “
