After actress Esmé Bianco filed an abuse lawsuit against Marilyn Manson in 2021, the two have now settled out of court. The lawsuit is dropped. Further details are not known.

The Brit has accused the singer of abusing and raping her, and he and his former manager Tony Ciulla are said to have been found guilty of human trafficking through unfulfilled promises to give her roles in music videos and a now-defunct film project. This refers to incidents during their relationship between 2009 and 2011.

The other allegations

Evan Rachel Wood, who was in a relationship with Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, until 2010, released a statement in 2021 in which she explicitly said he had abused her. After that, a number of other women publicly accused him. In addition to Bianco, another ex-partner, actress and model Ashley Morgan Smithline and Ashley Walters, a former assistant to Warner, have also filed lawsuits. The lawsuits sought by Walters and Smithline have since been dropped, including for procedural reasons. Wood is now facing a defamation lawsuit after her allegations were addressed in the HBO documentary Phoenix Rising.

All women describe severe and cruel physical and emotional abuse. They are all significantly younger than Warner. Unlike the other lawsuits, at least so far public, Bianco’s lawsuit had also involved Tony Ciulla. The manager, like Manson’s label, ended working with the musician after the first allegations. The extent to which he and possibly others knew about the incidents is another issue that lends public interest to her investigation. Warner himself has vehemently denied all allegations made so far.
