According to TV expert Tina Nijkamp, it is inevitable that Marieke Elsinga’s TV monstrosity Alles is Muziek will be taken off the tube after last night’s hysterically poor viewing figures.
It is one of the worst TV programs RTL 4 has ever broadcast: Alles is Muziek, Marieke Elsinga’s first major studio show. After last week’s premiere watched by 569 thousand people (14 percent market share), the second episode only attracted 269 thousand viewers (7 percent) last night. Bizarrely low.
‘Worst score ever’
It is not a surprise: the viewer saw Irene Moors ram into a shuffleboard in the premiere, ran away and will never return. The celebrities who yesterday had to make music with everyday objects behaved just as weakly: one was banging on a wheelie bin, the other poured chips in an unsavory way.
Tina Nijkamp, authority on ratings, is stunned. She writes on her analysis channel: “What a disgrace. This is not only the lowest score for RTL 4 at 10 p.m. on a normal Saturday night without an event like the World Cup in the past ten years, but even the worst 10 p.m. viewing figure ever, I think.”
Unbroadcastable
Tina herself led SBS 6 for many years. She does not understand that this has come through on the RTL 4 pipeline. “Sometimes a TV show can flop, of course, but with this program it is clear – already during the recordings – that the program is UNBroadcast? So hopelessly old-fashioned too.”
She continues: “Really annoying and also harmful for Marieke Elsinga, especially since this is her first big show. Shouldn’t her manager also have protected her from this?”
Humberto back?
The Saturday talk show Humberto/Renze on Saturday has been taken off the tube for this TV monster. According to Tina, it is a good idea to broadcast that program again. “Compared to Alles is Muziek, it scored very well.”
RTL 4 can also broadcast the new Renze show Het Unknown, from the makers of De Verraders, at this time. That is now scheduled for Friday, May 12. “De Traitors also started on Saturday at 9.30 pm and Better Than Ever also scored well there. The chance of success is therefore greater there. And RTL 4 cannot use another flop this season.”
And that Friday night that comes free? According to Tina, a new season of I Can See Your Voice can come. “That can be produced quite quickly.”

Anyway: Marieke’s Alles is Muziek should be released, media journalist Jef Willemsen agrees. He speaks of ‘the Avastars of RTL’. “This show is again too long with too thin a format made by people who shout the loudest about how fun it is fun. Baked air stinks for too long,” he tweeted.
What needs to be done? “With good decency you would say: delete. But it is an expensive studio show that also requires post-production (the finale will be played later). You don’t just banish that to Videoland. Not without a strong alternative. Putting Renze ‘just’ on Saturday again doesn’t make sense either.”
