Mariano Keerssemeeckers (24) from Tilburg has five tickets for the reunion performances of the original K3. The Tilburger is a fan of the first hour and the feeling for the Flemish singers has never disappeared. The tension with K3 fans was already fueled on January 1. “Then Kristel announced on social media that this was going to be an iconic year,” says Mariano delighted. On Monday the rumor was confirmed: the original singers of K3 give several reunion concerts after sixteen years.
He thinks Karen, Kathleen and Kristel is fantastic. But if he is honest, Kristel makes his heart beat just a little faster. “I don’t know what that is, that’s a feeling.”
Not that long ago he came across his big heroine in real life. “I asked her drawing a heart. This one I had a day later tattooed. She felt honored that I was going to do this.”
Previously, Mariano had already had the biggest set piece of the musical ‘the 3 piglets’ immortalized on his arm. “The 3 piglets belong to my first memories of K3. I get happy and cheerful when I look at it.”

Mariano is not the only adult lover of K3. He visits all five shows with a group of friends. “One time with three, the other time with eight. They are all 20 to 28 years old.”
Despite the extensive repertoire of K3, Mariano immediately knows which number is his favorite. “Eternal and always. If they start singing that during their reunion, I die,” he says with some sense of drama. “Then I cry and laugh at the same time and I go crazy.”
