María Florencia Lanza: “How many eyes have you made shine”

What led you to dedicate yourself to business development?

I always connected with the business world. For years I worked in a dependency relationship in multinational corporations, which were a little business school for me, and over time I wanted to challenge myself by achieving my own projects. This is how I currently carry out two of my own SMEs that participate in the animal market, more specifically dogs, for more than 15 years in Argentina.

How does the concern of being able to accompany others to achieve professional and personal projects arise?

I learned to work in a team leading in a committed, disciplined and flexible way. Year after year, the learning experiences that I capitalized on were different and I realized that many entrepreneurs and companies did not have them. In my environment, I began to receive inquiries about how to carry out different projects and thus the possibility of accompanying, training and motivating others from my professional and academic experience was born.

What do you mean when you talk about projects with a human gaze?

During my professional career I was able to realize that the focus is always on the objective to be achieved, on maximizing processes, on marketing and business plans, on the profitability sought, on successful launches, but that there is a human pillar that many times it is not contemplated. In every project we always connect with human beings, if we do not have the ability to understand people, then we will not be able to carry out successful businesses.

“How many eyes have you made shine” is one of your favorite phrases, could you tell us more about this concept?

I am currently in full conference development with respect to being able to “check” the situation of each individual prior to the development of any type of beginning, whether work or personal. Being able to find ourselves, knowing who we are, discovering our purpose and moving forward from there, has an absolutely nutritious resonate in achieving our goals and consequently in our work environment.

“How many eyes have you made shine” is a message that every leader capable of bringing out the best in his team should keep in mind. Making the people around me shine is a great daily challenge for me.
