The program for the Holland International Blues Festival is round. The organization already announced the first names at the end of November, but adds a row today. Margo Price, Robert Finley and Hans La Faille, for example, come to Grolloo.
The American Margo Price is an established name in the country world. She broke through in 2016 with her debut album Midwest Farmer’s daughter And was nominated in 2018 for a Grammy in the Best New Artist category. Her two most recent albums, Stray and Strays II come from 2023.
The 71-year-old Robert Finley broke through at a later age. Since then he has made four albums with Dan Auerbach, who is known for The Black Keys and also produces a lot for other artists. His last gospel, soul and rock album is a tribute to his home state of Louisiana in the United States.
Lovers of the blues immediately recognize the name Hans La Faille. He played from 1969 to 1972 for Cuby + Blizzards, the legendary Drenthe Bluesband from Grolloo. The band fell apart a few years later, but had a revival. La Faille played from 1996 to Harry Muskees Death again in 2011 for C+B. In June he opens the blues festival with C+B numbers.
