Marcel (56) is the last farmer of The Hague, but fears to have to disappear: “The municipality puts my knife on my throat”

The last farm of The Hague is under great pressure, because the municipality, who owns the land, suddenly wants to return a number of meadows after decades to nature. “It feels like the knife is being thrown to me,” says farmer Marcel Kleijweg (56) of the Clingendael farm, who is supported by various political parties.
