Marc-Marie Huijbregts will definitely return as a sidekick to Beau van Erven Dorens, so their collaboration has been well received by all parties involved. “They are now going to make a talk show on Sundays.”
Beau van Erven Dorens was seen last November and December with his daily talk show on RTL 4, this time without his failed sidekick Jeffrey Wirtz – he has been dumped – but with Marc-Marie Huijbregts by his side. Although the comedian evokes mixed reactions, he is now returning to the talk show table.
Last minute
It has been unexpectedly decided to have Beau present RTL 4’s Sunday talk show from next week. Normally Renze Klamer does this, but he is now on the channel every day.
Why is this? “This last-minute change to the schedule is probably because The Jump and Ranking the Stars are shorter than planned,” says media expert Victor Vlam on X. “In the original program schedule, these two programs would fill the entire evening of RTL 4. A talk show is an easy way to fill the gap.”
Must
There is a good chance that Beau would have preferred to just sit at home on Sunday – everything shows that he has lost his ambition a bit – but that RTL had to do this, according to Victor. “It can also be a necessity. He has made by far the fewest episodes of the three talk show hosts in the past year.”
By ‘must’ Victor refers to Beau’s contract. “It doesn’t happen very often that a gap arises in the schedule at the last minute. So RTL was clearly up. I think Beau had a hard time saying ‘no’.”
Marc-Marie back
Anyway: Marc-Marie will also be seen next to Beau on Sundays. “Beau and Marc-Marie are definitely a duo. The channel apparently thought the experiment was a success last year,” says Victor.
One Yako: “Hope people aren’t happy.”
Victor: “No, absolutely not.”
