Marc Marginedas and Ricardo Mir from France, awarded for their “indispensable work” as special envoys to Ukraine

The Information Media Association (AMI) has recognized the work of journalists from EL PERIÓDICO Ricardo Mir from France and Marc Marginedas for his “indispensable informational work” giving coverage to the ukrainian war after the invasion of the country by Russia, as reported by the association on Wednesday. Both journalists traveled twice to different parts of the Ukrainian geography to report on the impact of the invasion launched by Vladimir Putin on February 24.

On December 1st, within the framework of his annual conference Claves 2023, The “indispensable work” of journalists will be recognized “so that citizens can know through their testimony the events that are sadly transforming the history of Europe”, as highlighted by the Board of directors of the associationmade up of the main Spanish publishers.

Special envoys to Ukraine

In this way, AMI rewards the work of the 54 journalists who report or have reported on the ground since the start of the war in Ukraine for groups such as Iberian presseditor of THE NEWSPAPER, Vocento, Prisa Media, Grupo Godó, Unidad Editorial and Henneo, as well as the Efe agency and newspapers like ‘La Razón’, ‘La Voz de Galicia’, ‘Ara’, and ‘El Progreso de Lugo’.
