Many tips about the double murder of the Vis couple in 2009

Many tips have been received about the murder of Jurre and Marrie Vis in 2009. That reports The Telegraph. These came in after son Klaas Vis launched a website this weekend about the murder of his parents in Vollenhove.

About fifteen tips were received. The tips included a witness who saw someone at the couple’s home around the time of the murder and the scenario of a mistaken murder.

This weekend marked exactly 14 years since the couple was murdered. The bodies of Jurre (63) and Marrie (60) Vis were found on September 10, 2009 in their home in North Overijssel. They had died from gunshot and stab wounds.

Six months after the murder, one of their sons from Nieuw-Weerdinge was arrested on suspicion of the murder. He was a suspect for three years, until the Public Prosecution Service closed the staff case against him. He was held in pre-trial detention for 100 days and received compensation of 30,000 euros.
