IMOG is responsible for waste management in ten South-West Flemish municipalities. Since January 1, residual waste from almost 250,000 residents has been collected via diftar containers. There is also a separate collection of vegetable, fruit and garden waste. These changes lead to a lot of questions, making the free telephone number currently difficult to reach.
“It is a completely new system, with payments, deliveries and administration that all come together in a short period,” says IMOG spokesperson Koen Delie. “We are in a major logistics operation where we are deploying more than 120,000 containers.”
