Many don’t know, but Lowlands once started in Utrecht (and that it returns for once)

Lowlands in Biddinghuizen has been a household name in Dutch festival culture for more than thirty years. Yet few people know that the Free Spirit of this has its origins in Utrecht. In the Jaarbeurs was twice a flight to Lowlands Paradise in the 60s, an unpleasant happening that turned the good and bourgeois Utrecht upside down.
