Manuel Neuer has been an integral part of FC Bayern for over a decade. After the win against Wolfsburg he spoke about his expiring contract.
Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer expects positive contract news soon. “The future will continue to go well for FC Bayern. I believe that a lot will happen in the near future. And that something will be announced – on our own behalf,” said Neuer after the 3:2 (2:1) in the Bundesliga against VfL Wolfsburg.
“Those responsible will then announce whether new players from outside will be added,” added the 38-year-old.
Neuer’s contract extension beyond the end of the season is generally considered a formality. The contracts of Joshua Kimmich and Alphonso Davies also expire at the end of the season.
With Davies, after media speculation as with Jamal Musiala (contract until mid-2026), the Munich team is said to have taken important steps towards an extension in tough negotiations.
