Manuel Neuer is once again guarding FC Bayern’s goal in the game against SC Freiburg. Curious: Something has changed in his appearance in the past few weeks.
The Munich team once again relied on captain Manuel Neuer in goal. The 39-year-old’s appearance was questionable in the run-up to the game due to illness. But he got back in time.
What was immediately noticeable in the game against Freiburg: the former German national player has changed visually in the last few weeks. Neuer now has a mustache. The 2014 world champion was not previously known for his facial hair.
Neuer once told the “Gala” about his appearance: “My hair always has to be nice and short – I don’t like longer or long hair on myself. And I make sure that I don’t have a full beard.” The Bayern keeper still doesn’t have that. But he does have a mustache.
