The Spanish clothing retailer Mango presented its new store concept, “Mango Teen”, geared entirely towards young people on Tuesday. The first store of the format opened this month in the Westfield La Maquinista shopping center in Barcelona, ​​the company said.

The store, which has an area of ​​more than 100 square meters, is to be followed by more in the coming months: the clothing retailer plans to open up to eleven Mango Teen stores in Spain by the end of the year. Further locations at home and the “international expansion” of the concept are planned for the coming year.

With the “Mango Teen” stores, the company says it wants to specifically address an additional target group. The sales concept had already been tested with several pop-up stores in Spain last year and had provided “positive experiences”, the clothing retailer said. The Mango Teen range, which includes more than 800 items, will also be included will continue to be offered in regular Mango branches. It is now planned to launch a new collection for young people every two weeks. The company wants to “permanently renew” its offer and adapt to the “current needs of its customers”. .

At the same time, Mango is also expanding its branch network specializing in children’s fashion: Forty new “Mango Kids” stores are to be opened in the course of the year. This increases the number of locations worldwide to 450. The company said it plans to increase sales of the kidswear line to a new record of over 200 million euros in the current financial year.
