The Spanish apparel retailer Mango wants to boost its expansion in the USA with a new store opening in a prominent location. On Tuesday, the company announced that it would add a flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York to its store network. Mango assumes that “the opening of the store with the lines Woman, Man and Kids can take place in the first half of 2022,” says a statement. The shop will use almost 2,100 square meters of sales space in a magnificent building built in 1927 and recently renovated, which has already housed companies such as NBC, Columbia Pictures and Coca-Cola.

“The opening of the new flagship store on Fifth Avenue represents a major step forward for Mango in its omnichannel development strategy in the United States,” said Daniel López, Mango’s director of expansion and franchising, in a statement. “Having a business with these attributes in one of the most prestigious locations with the highest footfall on the continent will allow us to increase our brand awareness both in the American market and internationally.”

Mango had fueled its expansion in the US last year with four new store openings. The company chose shopping centers in the states of New Jersey, Florida and New York as locations. With the opening of the flagship store on Fifth Avenue, the clothing retailer is expanding its presence in the USA to nine points of sale.
